    Common ancestor

I have searched to see if anyone has asked this question before, but did not see it, except where it involved a chart.

So, is it possible in Reunion 10 to select two people from your file and, if they have a common ancestor between them, have Reunion report who the common ancestor is?

    Seems like an interesting idea....

    Re: Common ancestor

    You can get there indirectly..

Go to person A - do Change ------> Direct Lines Bold and set it to Unbold all existing bold lines

Go to Person B - do Change ------> Direct Lines Bold, but do NOT unbold all existing lines.

Now do a Find in Couples for "# of Bold Child Buttons" more than 1

The result will land you on the family card of your common ancestor.

Yes, in the "find" panel, use "find relationship between two people". If there's mpre than one common ancestor, use the arrows to flip through them. Create a chart if and only if you are so inclined with the "Create Chart"" button.

There is no report giving a list of *ALL* common ancestors; it has to be done individually.
