    Register Report - Double information

    Hi,

When I generate a Register Report for a family line, the children have birth information showing up twice.

Vojtech Nohava. He was born in Ponědra

It might help to know which word processor and version that you are using as some word processors play kinder with all of those special symbols than others.

Do you have two birth events recorded in the record by any chance? (I know it's obvious, but that's one way to get two in the register report)

        Bob -

Thanks for asking. I am using Pages 09, v.4.1 on a Mac laptop running Mac OS X 10.6.8. Also tried text editor, same thing happens.

I need to add that it does the same thing to death entires. Baptism and burial are not doubled. Children with children do not get doubled, only children without children even though they are married.

I also tried running the report on a family line that doesn't have the diacritics, same thing.

        Don -

Yes, that is the first thing I checked. I thought "oh brother, why would I have done that?" But no, no double entires.

Interestingly, I just went into define layout, unchecked everything and ran a new report and everything that is getting doubled is still there in the report. But using it the way, the first person in the report has no information.

I have the same problem. Children without children have double birth events.

Re: Register Report - Double information

            Hi Mike,

It was determined this was a bug in Reunion 10; after Michael sent in an e-mail to us. It's been added to our list of things to fix in the next update.

The cause was that he had the "Narrative" option selected for "Birth & death dates for children...", in the Miscellaneous Settings for the layout of the register report, and also had Birth and Death selected under the Person Fields Settings.

Reunion should be suppressing this duplication, as it did in 9.

There are a few solutions, for the time being:

1 - Select a different option for the "Birth & death dates for children..." setting.

2 - Select the "Number people without children" option under Miscellaneous.

3 - Uncheck the Birth and Death options for the Person Fields.
