Changing children to a different mother

I entered ten children to one set of parents. I have now found an earlier marriage. I need to enter some of these children under a different earlier mother. Can someone explain how to do this without having to reenter these children?

[1] Drag the children from the marriage where they don't belong into the clipboard.
[2] switch to the marriage where they DO belong
[3] Drag the children out of the clipboard onto the family card where they do belong.
