Removing person incorrectly inserted

I incorrectly inserted a child under the wrong parents. How do I delete that child altogether?

I can't speak about Version 9 as I'm using V12.
If you go to the family view card where the child should show below, drag that child to the clipboard bottom left of the display. Then go to clipboard where you have the option to remove completely.
I'm going from memory and no doubt others will correct me.
