    Two baptisms?

I have found an instance where the date of a baptism in the Parish Register is different from that in the Bishop's Transcript.

If I put an event once with one date and another event with another is that allowable? Will it filter as an alternative date or two events? Will it go through on GEDCOM etc?

I too have found these errors, only occasionally, but as the BTs were written up about once a year, I have taken it as an error.
The parish registers are the source I accept as being more reliable, and I record a note about the alternative date. Even the PRs were sometimes recorded by a parish clerk "en masse" as against the rector/curate who wrote them currently.

Point is, though: do I record both dates, and how?

You can use a Baptism event twice to record each date and give each of them the appropriate source.

Both instances of it will be put into a GEDCOM file.

What another software might do with that is dependent on that software - eg TNG (the software that creates awesome websites) can handle it with no problems.
