Child status

Hello all - can somebody tell me what child status is actually useful for?

I mean, you can't have multiple statuses (unless I am mistaken) meaning that anything more complicated than 'adopted' like 'twin and adopted' you can't handle unless creating a new double status, which would not be searchable with the others etc.

Perhaps I'm missing something here?

I think you've got it. To do what you want to do (boolean operations) you can use flags (twin, adopted, posthumous, etc.) that can be used for those searches
