If they're not direct line ancestors, they're not ancestors. They're just relatives.

But to answer your question, which I take to be whether you can get all of the people in your family file in a single book, the answer is mostly no, or mostly not in a simple way.

The book is built around a narrative report, and a book has one of three reports: ancestor, register (descendants), or family history.

The only way that I know to include someone who is not in the report you initially choose is by adding "custom sections" that include those people.

You could, I think, generate a descendants report of each "treetops" person, and add each of them as a section in your book. But I haven't tried this, as I can use the report itself rather than incorporate it in a book.
