    two surnames

    I'm curious how to enter people who have 2 surnames. For example one birth name, one changed name (David Smithsonian changed to David Smith). Obviously I don't want 2 separate people and I want to find him by either name.

    If it were me, I'd list the name as: Smithsonian->Smith with an explanation in Notes.

      I do such as Smithsonian (Smith) and have no problems finding either name.
