Can someone explain why the Asterix after the relationship in Tree view? It signifies what exactly?

You can find an explanation of this in the manual - if you search "asterisk relationship" (no quotes) in the manual the first result should be "Descendant and Ascendant Cousins" which describes the purpose of the asterisks in relationships.
