What Name to Use for 2nd Marriage

I am entering a second spouse. The spouse was previously married and adopted her husbands name. Do I list her maiden name or her legal married name. Or do I always list the maiden name and click on the additional spouses.

Example.
We have a woman named Jane Doe.
She Marries John Jones and her new name is Jane Doe Jones.
She divorces John and marries Charles McKinney.

I am making the first entry for Jane as the spouse of Charles. Do I enter Jane as Jane Doe or Jane Jones or. ????

I always input women with maiden name only. If I don't know their maiden name, I leave it blank.

You don't need to enter any information about her as she stays with her maiden name. What you do is to add a spouse to her side by using the plus sign right above her name box and choosing Add Spouse. She stays Jane Doe and now has a second spouse named McKinney.

When you create a narrative report, assuming you have entered the various marriage and divorce data, the software will properly report the sequence. If you were to change her name to Jane Doe Mckinney, the report would incorrectly report that Jane Doe McKinney first married John Jones.
