I'm finding about a 10 second time lag in batch entry (and other entry options) and when the field will allow an entry. The dreaded clock symbol (or whatever it's called) shows up. I assume it's calculating a relationship field. But it even occurs when no possible familial relationship could occur (i.e., no parentage entered). Is this a system problem (I'm running OS 10.9.5), or something inherent in the new program (yes, I've cleared my cache; first thing I did, and I must say that was pretty quick!)?

Re: Batch Entry and Other Entry
I'm not saying this is the only solution, but is Time Machine doing a backup when you notice this? It tends to make things quite laggy when active.Originally posted by Sue S View PostI'm finding about a 10 second time lag in batch entry (and other entry options) and when the field will allow an entry. No. Never had a problem w/TM and don't think it's happening now (unless it's a v. 11 Reunion-related problem). Just monitored a T.M. update and problem persists minutes after the update.

Re: Batch Entry and Other Entry
See my previous entry. This is now occurring again. The latest even occurred earlier this evening out of the blue, using V. 04. I cleared my Reunion cache. No change. I learned about V. 05, downloaded that. No change. I re-booted my Mac. No change. I was given a fix to my earlier problem, but I can't find that posted. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Re: Batch Entry and Other Entry
Let's check basics first. Are your keyboard (and mouse if not a laptop) wired or wireless? I ask because a wireless (usually Bluetooth) keyboard will show exactly what you describe when the battery(yes) are weak and about ready for replacement.

Re: Batch Entry and Other Entry
Bob, battery wasn't low then, but batteries have since been replaced. Situation described suddenly stopped of its own accord (go figure), to be replaced by another situation which I will describe separately.Originally posted by Bob White View PostLet's check basics first. Re: Batch Entry and Other Entry
Yes, I realize that and should upgrade. However, system falls within parameters described as ok by the Reunion folks. I was in touch with their help desk and they worked on my file, made several suggestions, which seemed not to work, and then, voila, everything righted itself. I've had a more recent hiccup, with R. suddenly deciding not to mark newly entered relatives. I think I've solved it, but time will tell.Originally posted by Steve K View PostDon't know if this is related, but not latest OS X.
