When I add census event, cursor jumps to first event I have on person, birth, instead of new census event when i try to fill in date of census. Is this a flaw in the new release?

Yes, we will look into it.

I also note that if I am in family view and click on blank census field, the cursor will be in the birth field when the person change screen comes up.
