In the midst of some of my wife's relatives, there is a family of eleven children. One if them is shown (correctly) as my wife's great grandmother. Nine of those eleven are shown (correctly) as my wife's 2x great aunts or uncles. The eleventh one, Elizabeth CHISHOLM, out of the blue, is shown (incorrectly) as my wife's 26x great grandmother, when she is, in fact, her 2x great aunt. This is then further complicated by showing her husband as my wife's 26x great grandfather and eight of their nine children shown as my wife's 26x great aunt and the other child as my wife's 25x great grandmother. (The older file has the eleventh child's (Elizabeth CHISHOLM's) relationships shown correctly; it does not have the nine children as they are not on the older file).

Re: Question about linking
Thanks for the suggestion, Mark, but nothing happened. I did as you suggested, then, when there was no change, I closed Reunion for ten minutes then tried again. Once again, nothing happened. I then shut down my iMac, but on restarting it, still no change.Originally posted by Mark View PostHi Eric,
Please try re-calculating relatives by dragging-and-dropping the source person into the Relatives sidebar, and let us know if the incorrect relationships persists.
Thanks!
I have marked the ten others (Elizabeth SAVILLE's husband and their nine children) who are all also shown as being my wife's 26x relatives.

Re: Question about linking
I'm sorry for my ignorance, but how do I send the Family File to you? And does that mean all 21,927 people on my file?Originally posted by Mark View PostI'd recommend sending the Family File to us along with details on the entries in question. If we can take a look at the file here we should be able to determine what's causing the incorrect relationship(s).
As to details - will marking the 11 people I know have the wrong relationship be sufficient for you?

Re: Question about linking
Hi Eric,
Quit out of Reunion, then open a Finder window and navigate to the folder containing your Family File - by default, it would be saved in:Originally posted by Eric Neil Harvey View Post...how do I send the Family File to you?
Documents / Reunion Files /
Then, CTRL+Click on your Family File in the Finder window and select "Compress..." from the menu that opens. This will create a ZIP file containing your Family File.
Attach the ZIP file to an e-mail addressed to us. If it's too large to e-mail you can send it via a large file sending service such as http://www.mailbigfile.com or you can share it via Dropbox if you have an account.
Yes, we would need the whole file. And does that mean all 21,927 people on my file?
Yup, that would work perfectly, thanks! As to details - will marking the 11 people I know have the wrong relationship be sufficient for you?Mark Harrison
