I imported a GEDCOM file generated from Ancestry by a genealogist who did research. On import, I generated a general citation to tag all records from that GEDCOM.
Looking at citations for a random person, I see several imported as general, and some as regular. Records sourced as general: US Social Security Applications Index, Delaware Marriage Records, Pennsylvania Death Certificates, etc. Records imported as regular: 1880 US Federal Census, US Find a Grave, US Newspapers.com Obituary Index.
Can you explain why some came in from Ancestry as single and some as general? Does that have any effect other than the order they appear and their color?
