My sister and I both have Reunion loaded on our computers. We live in different towns but want to work on our family tree from our own homes and have it sync or update our files as we work on it from our own homes. At one point we seemed to be able to do this via dropbox but now it does not seem to work like it did in the beginning. We could see that the other was in the application and found that we couldn’t do it at the same time. We are both lost on how to work together on the same family file while living in two different towns. Has anyone else tried this? If so, do you have any tips or tricks to make it work? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone explain if the steps to sharing Reunion Files with a family member who is also going to contribute to the family tree? We have tried dropbox and have not been successful. I would like to use iCloud as I think it would be less troublesome, as it is part of using a Mac where Dropbox isn't native to the Mac. Would it work to simply share our Reunion File that resides in our docuemtns folder that is also backed up and stored in iCloud? Below are the directions I am wondering about.
On Mac Open a Finder window and click iCloud Drive in the sidebar.
Right-click (or Control-click) the file or folder you want to share.
Click Share, and then select Collaborate.
In the sharing window, adjust the permissions under "Share Options". Choose who can access the file or folder and what permissions they have.
Select how you want to send the invitation, such as Mail, Messages, or by copying the link.

Simply said, we just want to be able to work together while using our own copy of Reunion we each have on our laptops but would like to share the same family file.

While I have no experience doing this type of sharing, the subject is covered in the built-in help file. Click on the question mark in the lower left corner of any Reunion window. This brings up the help manual. Use the Find box in the upper right to do a find on the term "remote sharing." Your answer may be there. Reading over it, I am not clear on whether or not the Remote Sharing can be Mac to Mac. The article needs to clarify this question.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991
