99% of the "preferred" tree photos require cropping. Yet, on both the desktop and the iOS app this is much more painful than it needs to be.
1. Click the crop button
2. Locate the first handle. It may be white on a white background, making it nearly impossible to find. Good luck.
3. Drag it to the spot you want
4. Repeat 2 and 3 for the diagonal corner
5. Click Apply
6. Repeat for every person in the tree
Why can't we use pinch and zoom? We could perform at least steps 1-4 in about 1/10 the amount of time. And users that want to change the aspect ratio can grab the handles and do so. But pinch and zoom will still work.
I've been spending a ton of time on the family tree, most of which I enjoy immensely. And I brag about Reunion everywhere. But as a software developer, I despise wasting time on functions that the software should be making easy for me.
