    Dividing a Family File

I have 1 Family File tracing my maternal and paternal ancestry and wish to separate it into 2 Family Files. Can anyone advise as to the easiest method to do this?

Yes. Information on how to split a family file can be found in your manual by searching for "split family." To access the manual, open your family file and click on the "?" in the lower-left corner of the Reunion window or choose Help -> Contents.

The section titled "Splitting or Separating Family Files" is the first entry in the search results.

Incidentally, we usually recommend keeping everyone in one family file. Please read the section titled "How Many Family Files?" before splitting your family file. (It is third in the list of search results.)

I hope this information is helpful for you in deciding how to proceed
