    Descendant Chart Outputs

    I use Reunion 9 and have a couple of questions:

    1. I would like to display the Descendant Chart on my iPad so that I can show to relatives without having to carry around a roll of paper. Is this possible, without having to buy another version of Reunion?

    2. I like the Descendant Charts and would like to have them printed in the same format. Are there specialist printers that can do this for me?

    Apologies if these are rather basic questions but would be great to get answers!

    Hi Nick -

    You can use Save->Graphic File to save your chart as a JPEG file so you can view it in Photos on your iPad. I'd say you could save it as a PDF, but I guess I'm not sure if it would have to be viewed in iBooks, and I don't know how good iBooks would be at viewing a large page like a chart.

    For printing charts, I know of no place better than Heartland Family Graphics! (Link in signature below.)

      Hi Tim

      Appreciate the response and noted about Heartland!

      When I save as a pdf Graphic File, I only end up with half a tree. For some reason it truncates, saves the top half of the tree but not the bottom.

      Any ideas?

        Are you trying to save as a PDF from the print dialog? If not, that's a new one on me. If you want to email me the chart file, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.
