    Exporting to FTM

I'm having a devil of a problem exporting a GEDCOM file from Reunion which will import successfully to FTM. FTM is rejecting a lot of tags as 'Invalid'. Is there a secret to doing this successfully?

Did you choose the Ancestry.com option in the export panel?

      Why is this setting necessary?

Gregg or Frank can jump in with a fuller explanation. My recollection is that, several years back, there seemed to be a plethora of problems with Reunion users trying to import into an Ancestry tree a Reunion created GEDCOM using the 5.5 version -- so the Reunion staff designed an export choice that would work well.
