Print Tree View suddenly has dark boxes

I recently upgraded from macOS 10.13.6 to 10.14.2.

Now in Tree View when I print (to a PDF), the person boxes have a dark fill instead of the normal, light fill in the on-screen display.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Is there a setting that will change it?

    Thank you,

    David

This sounds like something that was addressed in an updated version of Reunion 12. (The problem was actually caused by a bug in Mojave.) Try opening your family file and choosing Help -> Check for Updates. If an updated version of Reunion 12 is available, follow the prompts to install it.

Afterward, future Tree Views printed to PDF should be fine

      Hi Deb,

Thank you for the tip -- that works great.

By the way, I saw the other thread after I posted my message but didn't see anything about an update solving it, so you might consider adding that.

        Hi,

This issue has been described here and in a couple of earlier threads as being caused by a bug in Mojave, but in fact it also affected charts created in Mountain Lion (10.8.5). I can confirm that the December update fixed the gradient problem in 10.8.5.

Mojave has a bug that introduced some major problems when rendering gradients and semi-transparent images to the printer and pdf files. Apple acknowledged the bug, however they didn't fix it. We were able to circumvent those problems in the latest build of Reunion 12.

There was also an issue with drop shadows in the chart editor that was introduced in High Sierra - this issue caused boxes with drop shadows to appear darker in the chart editor and when printing charts. This too has been addressed in the most recent build.

We are glad to hear that the latest build addressed the issues that your were seeing - however, we were not aware of any problems related to gradients in Mountain Lion.

Excellent. I have now upgraded to Reunion 12 and the problem is not there. It had also been present for Reunion 11 with Mojave..
