Here's a simple one. How does one set up the default data folder? Seems Reunion tenaciously prefers its own Reunion 8 folder within the Applications folder.

Also, one of Reunion's true oddites (with pardons :D) is a Reunion 8/Preference pull-down menu that provides a pleasant message to go elsewhere: "Preferences" in Reunion are in the Options menu. Who's fiddling with the standard Mac interface now!?! Microsoft, move over! ;). (The Leister folks must have a tough hide by now.)

As always, thanks.

I have all my data files in a folder called Genealogy in my Documents folder.

I have an alias of that folder called Genealogy in the Reunion folder, so that I can get from the Reunion folder to the Genealogy folder easily when Reunion insists on going to the Reunion folder in a Save/Open dialog.

The data files I access most frequently are in the Dock for easy access.

Hopefully this will be much better behaved in Reunion 9!!

Cheers

Roger
