View Full Version : Posting a Reunion "web card" folder to my .mac account

19 June 2007, 12:14 AM
I am seeking step by step instructions on how to get my reunion family tree to accessable via a .mac web site with a password.

1 - With Reunion 9 you can create "Web Family Cards", I have done this and have saved the folder that is created to my desk top.

2 - I have an active .mac account.

3 - I select Finder menu GO and select iDisk, that is GO to iDisk, brings my iDisk to my desk top.

From here on I am fuzzy,

4 - I can create a web site from my .mac homepage and give it a password.

5 - Where do I put the "Web Card Folder" in the iDisk so that I can see it on this .mac site.

This question is kind of the middle of two relms. In between the Reunion world and the .mac world.

Any wisdom on this mater would be greatly appreciated.

The link Terry provided is a good one. If you search for ".mac" or 'publishing to .mac", you'll find a few more posts here on the topic.

With Apple updating its .Mac services yesterday, and allowing to publish to personal domains, perhaps things will get a little easier. Nevertheless, Treetoad's posts are definitely worth looking at.
