I'm a newbie, and I don't know what Gedcoms or Ahnentafels are, or how they're used. Do they indicate sources? If there's a good, online explanation of these important genealogy tools, please point me there!
Thanks -

A GEDCOM file and an Ahnentafel are both ways to communicate genealogical information: A GEDCOM file is used to exchange information between computer programs, while an Ahnentafel is used to exchange information between human beings.
