Default Linking to images

I am new to genealogy need all the help I can get. I have a Family site at http://web.me.com/girouxp/GirouxFamily/index.html I would like to link the source to an image of the actual document the source info outlines. Is that possible. I tried creating a new folder, saving the images to that folder but when I upload/replace the files on the net the links do not show up. Help please

When you created the web cards, did you check the box to include sources?

Terry,

Yes I did. I read somewhere that HTML tags could be included so I even tried that. I've been designing websites since 1996 so that wasn't a problem. I uploaded the sources folder (containing the images) to my me.com iDisk area, then amended the wc_src.html file but links are broken. I just looked at the folder in my computer, there is something else I am about to try. Thank you for your response, will post any new developments

When I have a source like a death certificate or a census record, I scan the source and store it as jpeg in iPhoto. That is where i keep all my photos. Then when adding a source, I add include the scanned image with the source multimedia. After that Reunion does all the work for me. No need to modify html, etc.

I knew there had to be a better way and after I changed the html file I was pretty sure it would be overwritten then next time I upload to iDisk which it was. Now I cannot find "include the scanned image" button/link/icon you mention under Multimedia. Help please

This takes a little patience to explain. When you add an new source you can then click the multimedia button and just drag in the photo. Then when you are creating the web cards, you click "include sources". If you have a source already defined, you can click in it and add photos. Sometimes it take a few clicks to get the panel to open.

Terry,

Would you mind looking at this record http://web.me.com/girouxp/GirouxFami.../ps01_009.html

I managed to get the source document to attach to this record but not in the way I would like it. What I am trying to do is link the "1" so it shows the Source Index page and links to the document from that page. As it is the "1" links to Source Index page but visitors have to click on the "camera icon" on Person Sheet to see the Source Document.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Very interesting. When I create a person sheet or Descendant Report, I do not get the camera. I cannot view the source document at all. The web cards seem to be the only place I get the document itself. Now I have to look further.
