    Change someone to unrelated...

Hi all! I have someone that is part of a family but I want to change his status to unrelated until I get more information. I do add people as Unrelated via the Edit button--->Add Unrelated Person but I don't see a way to do that with someone already in a family card. Thank you for your help, Judy

    My Ancestry ID is: mrstucci1972

My GEDmatch is A353507. I am also on 23andMe, FTDNA and MyHeritage.

Go to the family where he doesn't belong, but where he's a child. Drag the child button to the trash. Empty the trash.

He will still be in the file, but not connected where he shouldn't be.

It's not that you're changing a status. "Unrelated" just means that two people aren't connected to each other.

Where exactly is the "trash"? I am not finding it.

Sorry, should have said "clipboard". It functions like the trash in OS X.
