Default How to create an "everyone tree"

I would like to create an "everyone" tree that will show everyone in my database. This would include some multiple marriages. I want to include both of the spouses, their ancestors, siblings, and descendants, even though the blood line does not continue down to the latest descendant or up to the earliest ancestor. This is quite important to my extended family because we have several of these situations. What do I do: Extend a relative chart?

Your question and some alternative solutions were discussed on the following ReunionTalk thread

Oh, I see. The short answer to my question is actually, Reunion doesn't allow an "all-in-one" tree, even if it's as few as 20 people! Dern.

But let's be more creative. Would it be possible to export a Reunion database to another charting program? (Non-Microsoft, please. I'm using a Mac.)

TIA,
Laura

The Charting possibilities of Reunion are very good.
I doubt that you an find a better one. It is nearly impossible making a chart for everyone and if so ... the the chart is unreadable, specially when their is a generation shift.

But with the programm MacFamilyTree you can see a threedimensional view. This looks funny and is impressive to see and you can get an overview for navigating.
Hope that nobody is disturbed when I say that in fact, in genealogic aspect, it is useless.

More people in Holland changed their genealogy programm from MacFamilyTree to Reunion and I helped them (more than 10) for a proper import (because MFT has a lot of other drawbacks)

But you can take a look for a demo: http://www.synium.de/products/macfamilytree/index.html
When a MFT file is open, click on menu item Virtual Tree (left column) and choose a person in the right column

One way to do this is to draw the tree you want by hand.

It may sound a bit daft, in the context of Reunion, but you get exactly the result you want. I have done this for years, and often scan the tree back into the computer. You can do this and include the tree as a mulitimadia scan with anyone you want.

Don't be a slave to the computer - as you said; lets be more creative !!
