Divorced couple still showing as married

My brother was married and divorced after about 15 years. I entered the divorce as an event, but when I look at the record of him with his first wife, it shows them married 37 years, not 15 (its been 37 years from wedding to current year).

So I searched the forum and found an eight year old thread that says divorce is treated as a change in status, but the old method doesn't seem to work now. How I fix this now? I don't see a place to change the status of the marriage.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "old method." However, searching the manual for "marital status" will answer your question.
