Default Dead people

Usually I've not entered anything for people I have a birth year on or before 1921 (my choice) but no death date. It's obvious to me they're dead. For those after 1922, I do indicate "?" if I know they're dead but no date.

Does not marking anything slow Reunion down in any way?

Sorry, I don't know whether all those unentered death dates slow Reunion, but I wouldn't have thought so. I am intrigued by your chosen practice here: to me, death date is always a key fact about a person's life, and often very interesting: for example, died before/after spouse, died while children young, lived to a ripe old age, etc etc.

Oh, maybe didn't work correctly. Indeed, I do track all deaths! Just, don't always know them. So, in Reunion (my offline program), I don't mark if I have a birth date but no death (where it's obvious they are dead). Only when I have neither for the person but other info supports they are dead, will I use "?". Just bit lazy I guess
