Preferred Spouse

I can't change the preferred spouse in my files. The save button is greyed out. I am using v. 9. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Lola,

I'm unable to duplicate what you are seeing. (I.e., after making any change in the Edit Spouses window, the "Save" button is clickable.) However, I do have a couple suggestions...

1. Verify that you are running version 9.0c, the latest version of Reunion 9. (To verify your version of Reunion 9, open your family file and choose Reunion -> About Reunion.) If your version is not 9.0c, you may download the free update from this web page...

Note: be sure to choose Reunion -> Quit Reunion prior to installing the update to version 9.0c.

After installing the 9.0c update, open your family file and try changing the preferred spouse again.

2. Try saving a copy of your family file and changing the preferred spouse in that copy.

I.e, open your family file and choose File -> Save A Copy.

Then, click Save.

Next, close the family file that's open and open the copy you just saved.

Finally, try changing the preferred spouse in that copy.

Maybe I can help. Go to your person whose spouses are in question.
Then go to the top line of options (Reunion, File, Edit, Find, etc.)
Choose Edit, Spouses of, then the spouse in question.
To the right of the spouses there is a column marked 'Preferred'.
Check the person you prefer to see listed as spouse.
