    geotag limits

Whenever I ask for geo codes for a place I get the error message saying that the daily geotag query limit has been reached. This is even though I have only entered one or two codes. Why is this & how can i stop getting this message.
    Thanks
    Peter

    Re: geotag limits

This message is coming from Google -- you're getting it because they believe you've hit their limit for requests for the day (at least, that's the response they're sending to Reunion when the request is made).

Unfortunately it seems like they have an issue here, in that some users are getting this response even though they haven't hit that limit. I'm afraid all we can recommend is waiting a little bit and trying again. Usually that will allow you to get more geocodes.

Sorry I can't be of more help,

      Hi Mark
Thank's for the very prompt reply. I'm no where near the limit of 2500 requests a day! so you must be right. It does seem very random & sometimes if I return to a place it will be accepted so I'll just keep going.

Applying a little logic here, is it possible that Google is applying the limit of 2500 across all Reunion users ?

No - the way geocoding is programmed in Reunion means that Google limits the number of requests based on IP address, not the application being used. We don't send any details in the requests that identify Reunion as the application making the request, so Google has no way of limiting it based on the application.
