Which of these two formats - MP3 WAV - should I use in Reunion when I make a copy for distribution on DVD so that relatives can see the card file of the family tree on PC or Mac and hear the audio/tunes?

Will the relatives be able to navigate and select audio/music/picture/movie files on TV or is this only possible on a computer?

cheers

Almost all computer audio software can play either .wav or .mp3 files. .mp3 files are smaller, since they are compressed using a particularly good audio compression, which makes them better for web and email distribution, but that is not as much of an issue on DVD, unless you have a lot of audio files.

Some DVD players can play .mp3 audio files and display .jpeg pictures, but not text or html. If you put your DVD into one of those players, the pictures and sounds can be viewed or played individually. My own players play .mp3 and .jpeg, but not .wav files.

Thank you dfilpus

Have now put Mp3 tunes into web cards but I hit a snag from another direction.

What would we do without ReunionTalk?
