    Geo Codes in Web Project?

I'd like to include geo codes (mapping) in my web project. I've had a look through the user manual, and it doesn't look to me as though that's possible. But maybe I've missed something.

I'd like a user of the web project to be able to click on a place, and the map will come up.

If anyone can tell me how to do this I'd be grateful...

You would have to include the "geo code" (whatever that might be) in a hypertext link in order to make it "clickable." One way might be to include it in a text comment somewhere on the page.

Look over the info at http://www.geo-tag.de/generator/en.html as a start.

Re: Geo Codes in Web Project?

Thanks for the reply Ken. However, I have over 4000 places in my Reunion file, nearly all geo-coded. As far as I can see, using the nice site you sent me would involve re-coding (or at least re-finding) all those places and then putting them into the website one by one, a Herculean task!

It would be nice if Leister would make an option to include geo codes in the Web Project process, so places with a geo-code could be clicked on, and the map come up. I'll put a new thread to this effect in the wish list.

        Thanks again and kind regards

        Nick

I'm using TNG, and it allows me to map the events according to the geocodes defined in Reunion. See attached example.

Re: Geo Codes in Web Project?

            Merci encore

            Cordialement
