Match and Merge on First Names

I have been using Match and Merge whenever I use an imported gedcom to clean up duplicates. I select Search by Name and Date.

I did notice that when there is
    1. no last name
    2. just a first name
    3. no dates at all

Reunion 10.0.6 does not offer any possible matches. It should suggest identical first name.
Is there a way to force some results?

Not a pretty way to do things, but this might work:

Do a find with last name IS blank and first name IS NOT blank. This will give results in the sidebar of people with first names only. If, while clicking through them, some look like duplicates, you can go to the family card of one and drag the other from the sidebar to him to force a merge.

Or you can mark the two merge candidates and so force a merge by matching marked card with marked cards.

Of course, I tried that as well. Reunion returns No Matches.

I finally had to go to each person and force merge by Drag and Drop the duplicate into the first first name.

For duplicate spouses with no children, I just trashed the 2nd entry.
