    Format date

    Hi to all,
I'm french so be kindle with my english.
I imported a gedcom file to Reunion 10.
But some dates are "29 MAY 1814" and others "13/10/1848" like I Choosed in the "Preferences/Dates".
Is there something else to do ?

This looks like something possibly wrong with the Gedcom you imported. It might be that the incorrect format dates were stored in the Gedcom as text rather than as dates.

How do the incorrect dates appear in the Event tab where the data is entered? Can you post an image of the Event tab for one of these?

      Hi, Gerard.

I have to agree with Steve B on this. What happened to you also happened to me, and the wrongly formatted dates had been considered as text rather than dates in the GEDCOM (and probably also in the original software from which it had been extracted). I had to do the corrections manually.

          Happy new year!
I did change (and am still changing) all the dates manually. Fortunately, there weren't (and aren't yet) that many to change, even if the GEDCOM I got had 43000 people in it.

            Re: Format date

As Real said, it seems that for some reason Reunion has not been able to read the dates in your GEDCOM and has converted them to custom dates. The only way I know to put this right would be to manually delete and rekey each date one by one.

Does anyone else know of a way to automate this process?
