I'm new to Reunion and need to do something simple: I just want a list of relatives, say 4 generations back, and their birth dates, death dates, and wedding dates.

How do I accomplish this? Thanks.

I'm new to Reunion and need to do something simple: I just want a list of relatives, say 4 generations back, and their birth dates, death dates, and wedding dates. How do I accomplish this?Search the Manual for "relative list" and choose "3. Relative List, Creating a Relative List". That will show you not only how to limit, if you wish, how many generations are included, but other options (e.g., which classes of relationships to include, whether to include half relatives, and whether to limit to Living Only). Be sure you pay attention to the "Note" at the beginning about needing to first identify the relationships of the relatives to someone in the Family File.

Once the list has been created, you can choose what fields are shown for each person by clicking on the column headings after the first two—which are determined by the Sort selection you make at the top of the list. (Search the Manual for "selecting fields" and choose "1. Using Lists, Selecting Fields to Display and Number of Columns".)

If you don't want a list that is organized by relationship class, you can simply mark whomever you want included, do a List->Find Anything (or the keyboard shortcut of Cmd[Apple]+A), select the People tab, find the marked persons (it's one of the default Presets), and choose the desired fields in the resulting list. If you want to include each person's Relationship as one of the fields (it's in the Attributes group), make sure you have just done the "identify" operation as that calculated Relationship is not automatically updated as you make changes to your Family File.

And if you want a plain list of everyone with a Relationship, first do the "identify" operation, then do a Find Anything for persons with a Relationship (it's another of the default Presets).
