    Search Free Form Text Field

Is there any way to do a find on the Free Form Text field for the existence of any content?

    Hi Tom,

The manual explains how to do the type of search you are wanting to do.

Open the List - Sources window (by pressing "Command" and "s") and select these conditions...

Type: Any Type ... Field: Free Form Text ... <enter the not equals character> (i.e., ≠)

Note: the not equals character can be created by pressing the "Option" and "=" keys.

However, unfortunately, the not equals character is not working as it should in our current version of Reunion 10.

I will be adding this to our list of things to check into fixing in a future version update.

In the meantime, the only alternative I can think of would be to search for these conditions...

Type: Any Type ... Field: Free Form Text ... <press the Space bar once>

That should work for you as long as there is more than one word (separated by a space) in the Free Form Text field:-)
