    Basic scanning question

    Having a brain cramp! Have scanned document to desktop in pdf. How do I get it from desktop into Notes section for proper person?

    Have saved as tiff, text, pdf and jpeg and still puzzled why I can't drag and drop or copy and paste.

      A graphic file won't go into the notes section. It'll have to be attached to a person or source as a multimedia file.

        For graphic files, what Tim said. For text, you can drag and drop the text. You cannot drag and drop the text file's icon.

          If you have software that will do OCR (Optical Character Recognition), you can extract the text from your PDF and copy that to the notes field. Adobe Acrobat Pro will do this and often, not always, scanner software will do it too, or software that came with scanner.
