    Index problem?

    When I first installed Reunion 10.0, I found that typing names in the People list at right didn't work properly. I figured maybe the new version needed me to rebuild the caches, so I did that and it worked.

    Today I installed the 10.0.1 update and found that it occurred yet again. So I rebuilt the caches again and the problem went away. Then I launched it later and the problem reoccurred. I had to rebuild the caches yet again. And I launched it again just now only to find that, once more, it's not working correctly. If I type "mcgl" to attempt to find family members named McGlothren, the names appearing on the list are McGOWAN and McGOWIN, but *not* the McGLOTHREN name I sought.

    Am I the only one encountering this?

    Re: Index problem?

    After having changed the name of some persons from the list of people (in a separate window), these persons did not appear in the sidebar. I had to rebuild the cache.

      I'm not sure whether this is exactly the same issue, but it sounds similar.

      It seems that my index doesn't work anymore at all. When I type e.g. "vries" in the search window at the top of the People List, I get completely incompatible results (only 4 different names, no "vries" at all, whereas a Find yields a total of 789 of them (from a total of over 55,000 members). The results list when typing only a first letter, "v", also doesn't match.

      Is it just me having these problems? Did I read something in the Forum about cash that needs to be refreshed?

        Metheo: I would recommend rebuilding caches using:

        File -> Rebuild Cache Files...

        Also, make sure you have 10.0.3 installed.

        If the problem persists send us an e-mail.

        Legolas and Steve: the problem you reported should be fixed in 10.0.3.

          I have not had a recurrence of this issue. Thanks.

            Thanks, Mark, that has done the trick.
