Syncing question

I am new to this App. I have a 3GS iPhone. I have downloaded my Family File. So if I choose "Put Family File on Device" it will overwrite the file I have on my phone and won't add a duplicate family file? I have got this far in the sync process but was reluctant to make this choice in case I ended up with a duplicate of my family file on my iPhone. Just want to be sure before I select this option.

If the file name is exactly the same, it overwrites. If the file name is different, even by one character, it adds the file.

Like on your Mac, you can have several family files on your device. How many you can have is an open question. The Help file doesn't speak to said question.
