Is it possible to edit to edit the lines between boxes in charts? Ideally I would like to be able to merge the descendant line and the marriage line in a chart to reduce confusion in simple charts.
Is it possible to edit to edit the lines between boxes in charts?Yes. Reunion's chart editor can be used to change the color/direction/thickness of an individual line (or a select group of lines) on a chart. Additionally, it can be used to remove a line (or a select group of lines) from the chart.
The Line pop-up menus appear along the left side of the chart window in the chart's Tool Panel after selecting a box (or multiple boxes).
Additional information on using the Tool Panel can be found in your manual by searching for "chart tool panel." To access the manual, click on the Manual icon on the toolbar (or choose Help -> Search the Manual).
Incidentally, there are times when adding an unconnected line to a chart is helpful. (I.e. you can position that line where you like after adding the line.) This type of line can be added by choosing Edit -> Add Shape -> Line. Information on adding/positioning/editing an unconnected line can be found in your manual by searching for "add shape line."
I hope this information is helpful for you in doing what you want:-)
