Now just WHY would you post such a question on a forum about, for, and sponsored by Reunion?

I sense some people are feeling threatened.

Elsewhere in this forum, I have read of people discussing the merits of switching to other programs and why they might consider it. If FTM can only move text then it is a good reason to NOT switch.

The best place to ask a technical question about a product is through that products own support system. That is why the guideline Bryon mentioned is in place.

Elsewhere in this forum, I have read of people discussing the merits of switching to other programs and why they might consider it.Discussing the merits of other applications is not the same as asking support-related questions about other applications.

You can find Ancestry.com's support page here (http://ftm.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ftm.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=mViTJvok) - you may find that someone there has already asked the same question.
