I have tried a couple things but I continue to get the above "message" in the "Description" area of the "Get changes from iPhone" window when I tried to sync my new MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.4 to my new iPod Touch 32GB running iOS 4 (with its update from a few days ago - I have had these new items a little over a week). Running Reunion 9.0b; just purchased and installed Reunion for iPhone on the Touch; have used Reunion since version 6, and have used a Mac since 1986; my iMac G4 from 2002 is still chugging along with OS 10.3.9. My old Palm iiiC still runs MyRoots although I have not updated those files in about two years.

Sitting here at the library using its wi-fi (dial-up at home; no modem in the laptop), I have been working at this. At first I thought the "Does not belong..." problem was because my family file might be too large, with well over the recommended 3,000 people. So I deleted the file from the Touch. Then I cloned my tree file twice to divide it, using a different set of marked people for each, and renamed and loaded them one at a time onto the Touch. I then added a new wife for one person on the Touch, as I had done at home.

Being very careful to select the correct tree on my laptop, I tried to sync the Touch back to that second file. The box showed both trees on the Touch: the first had no changes (correct), and for the second, it said "Does not belong to this family file" (this was the one that I had just changed).

What is going on? Is there something I am missing? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
