I've got a number of German relatives, and have noticed that umlauts in their names are lost when looking at the flat Index list.
For example, I have a "Sophie Schöder" (o has an umlaut) but the index only lists "Schoder".
I was wondering if the umlaut just wasn't being drawn properly so I added a "Dummy Schoder" (with no umlaut). That person is listed in the same "SCHODER" section of the Index, so the umlaut's definitely being ignored in the index.
Is this deliberate, or a bug?
