I use Reunion 5 under windows 98, a version in french which was distributed by Sierra Home. Sierra Home is no more interested by genealogy.
I want to upgrade my computer, preferably with a windows or vista Operating System.
What are the solutions in order to keep all the informations I introduced in the uds files.
many thanks for your help,

Maurice---
Sorry to see that noone has answered your request for help.
I was not clear from your request for help, if you wanted to keep your
Genealogy data on a PC or convert it to a Mac.
Anyway, in order to save your data regardless, I recommend that you
save / export your data to a GEDCOM file which can then be used to be imported into either a PC or a Mac Genealogy software package.
As for upgrading from PC-Reunion 5 software for a PC-alternative, the
last PC-Reunion 5 software package that I know of that allowed a direct
import of PC-Reunion 5 data was Generations Family Tree (version 8.5a
dated June 6, 2002).
Unfortunately, that Generations Family Tree software is no longer
commercially available and is no longer supported as far as I can
find out.
In addition, when I up-graded my old PC from Windows 95 to Windows XP,
I had to do some research and make several adjustments to my PC
settings in order to keep my copy of Generations Family Tree software
working.
Anyway, hope some of the above information is helpful to you.
Good luck.
