Can't add photos to 2nd Family File

I have a separate Family File folder for my husband's line and want to start adding photos. Have had no problems with adding photos to my file folder. I have tried to add an identical photo, from same reunion photos folder for my husband, as is on my Home Card. It marches through all the right steps in multimedia; but after choosing the photo and it appears in the Multimedia window, the photo does not appear on his Family Card. I've searched thru all instructions and past threads, but apparently am missing something.

...It marches through all the right steps in multimedia; but after choosing the photo and it appears in the Multimedia window, the photo does not appear on his Family Card. ...First make sure that when you added the picture using the multimedia window that you have set the picture to be the preferred picture.

Next go to View > Define Views and check the box "Show preferred picture". Then click the Save button.

Thank You Byron. Even tho I had selected 'preferred picture' in the Multimedia window, I completely missed the View > Define view instruction, probably because I hadn't added photos in a long time.
