I unfortunately deleted my Documents Folder and emptied the trash before I realized what I did. R-8 was NOT in the Documents Folder. (I have it in my Applications folder.) I found a guy who was able to retrieve most my recent files from the emptied trash. Again, R-8 was NOT emptied into the trash.

Everything else seems to look OK in my other folders, but when I open the R-8 folders, the icons next to the file names have all changed into little fuzzy things. When I click once onto a Family File, in the Preview box shows it as a PSD file. When I click "Get info" the files are called R-8 files. And when I double click, they open properly in Reunion.

What has happened here? Can I fix it? I will be getting a new iMac soon with Leopard, and will install R-9, so I want to be sure there won't be any problems transferring over my R-8 files. Is this a serious problem?

You could try downloading the Reunionizer application to see if it can correct the icons -- I'm really not sure if it will fix them or not.

Hi Gregg,
Upon further checking, I have my Reunion Folder in my Applications, however, within that Reunion Folder is the actual Reunion Application. I had problems originally upgrading to Reunion 8, and had to do a round about method to get all my files moved over. This was years ago. Until recently I had the little people icons showing on both the files. Anyway everything works one way or another. If it is a problem transferring into R-9 when I get my new iMac next week I'll be in touch.
Thanks for your help.
