I am at the stage now where I want to print some reports but have never liked the way the dividing line shows in the Family History Report. I think it would look better above the person's name, effectively keeping name and info together within two dividing lines. I looked in Report Options to see if there was a way to change this and couldn't find one so went with the option of deleting the line altogether. I didn't like that either so tried to reinstate the line but couldn't. When I tried to type in dashes they only went half-way and didn't look the same as the original. Have I lost the line for good? Sorry for being long-winded.

Jennie, I agree with you regarding the location of the line. What I do is to cut and paste it above, where in my view it is better located. I also tend to remove many of the blank line spaces, which condenses the report somewhat.

Thanks Ronald for your reply. That is what I will have to do if I cannot find a way to reinstate the original line in the 'Options' but it will be very tedious.

Please can anyone else suggest why the line seems to have disappeared for good? I wasn't even given a warning that by deleting it it would be gone permanently unlike other times when going to do something and been given a choice to cancel.

I don't think I've ever changed mine, and it looks like this:

—————————————————————————————————————————————

It seems to be em-dashes (option-shift-hyphen).

You could try copying and pasting that into the report options. A new family file, or failing that, running Reunion under a different account, should also yield you the original line.

Thanks Tom, you're a star, it worked.

I had to 'google' to see which was the option key though. Mine is Alt.
