Disappearing shortcut

Hi everyone

I've just noticed that one of my shortcuts isn't working. In the Edit Person window, in the Events tab, I use COMMAND-' (apostrophe) quite a lot in the Place field to paste multiple incidences of the same location. Today I've noticed it doesn't work, although the apostrophe key and the COMMAND key are both fine. Have I somehow 'turned it off'?

I recently went from 10.3.9 to 10.4.8 and am on an iBook 700MHz running 8.06.

Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

Bill, I didn't know that could be done. And it works on my Imac duo 10.4.8 with Reunion 8.06. All you do is click in a place field and then go to the place field that you want to add the place name and do command apostophe key and their it is. A great short cut.

I just tried it on my Ibook G3 900mhz and it worked on my Reunion there also.

However I have no idea how that could have changed. I would repair my reunion file and also repair the permissions and see if that corrects it.

Mine's never worked. From memory I raised it with Leicester and we figured out it was because I was using different keyboard layout. Maybe yours changed when you upgraded?

It happens to me from time to time. I think it comes after minimizing the window and maximizing it back. (sounds like a quirk or whatever you call it)

The only solution I've found is to close Reunion and opening it again immediately. Not really satisfactory but it works.

Every once in a while the shortcut I use the most - nmc/nfc doesn't work, but if i repeat the command it does. So try repeating it.
