View Full Version : Graphic quality of Chart

I've done a chart that my nephew who works for an architectural company can print out for me. He wants a jpeg. Is there a way to save one that has a better resolution than 72dpi? I tried saving as a Tiff file then opening in Photoshop Elements or Preview thinking I could then convert & save it as a jpeg at 300dpi (which is what he wanted). When I opened the Tiff file some of the "pieces" were missing - lines connecting boxes, box frames, etc. I had searched this forum and that was the only workaround I had found. Any suggestions?

There are many other threads dealing with this (do some keyword searches on "graphics" or "file formats"), but the basic answer is that JPEG is about the worst format for a chart. It's meant for photographs, not for high-contrast line art such as is found in charts. I would advise creating a PDF file from Reunion, then using GraphicConverter or some similar program to get it into the format desired (almost certainly not JPEG -- ask your nephew what else he can deal with).
Edit: Your nephew can almost certainly deal with a PDF file directly. That will make your life easier and will mean that the image stays sharp.
