updating family files from reunion 7

I have recently been emailed a family file created in reunion 7. When I try to open it, via the update family file etc procedure, it will not allow me to select the file in the appropriate dialogue box.

Any ideas anyone?

Perhaps the problem was caused by the Type and Creator codes being stripped from the file during the email transfer. Reunion uses Type and Creator codes to recognize a family file as a family file.

It also includes a link to a freeware program (called MuchoFileInfo) which can be used to restore those Type and Creator codes.
